2022 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Teased In Fresh Black Shade

Kawasaki India has released a teaser of the 2022 Ninja 300 on its social media accounts ahead of its launch this week. Although no confirmation has been made, the entry-level sports bike, which received a rather late BS6 update in March last year, is set to receive a minor cosmetic update this year.

Going by the latest teaser, the 2-cylinder motorcycle will get a new black shade which is slightly different from the current BS6 model’s ebony black colour option. It gets new silver accents too.

Also, there’s a visible bulge in the instrument cluster, which hints that a new LCD or TFT screen might be in the offing. A carbon-fibre-like pattern can also be seen surrounding the cluster.

Though the front indicators look identical to the current model, the headlights and tail lights might be LED units given the competition has them. But the bike will remain unchanged mechanically.
Thus, the 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine will continue to deliver a maximum of 39 HP at 11,000 RPM and 26.1 Nm at 10,000 RPM, making the bike one of the fastest in its class.

Ninja 300 has a steel tube diamond frame, 37 mm telescopic forks up front, a monoshock at the rear (with 5-way preload adjustment), and petal-shaped discs at both wheels for braking.

The motorcycle is currently retailed at Rs. 3.37 lakhs (ex-showroom), and once the updated model gets introduced, it should, in all likelihood, cost more.
