India has been battling a deadly second eave and scientists believe that the mutant variant could be responsible for the explosion. Many countries have banned travel to and from India in light of the COVID-19 cases. The UK too had banned flights to and from India looking at the mounting COVID-19 cases in India. In fact, UK had put India on the red list. However now, Air India announced that it will operate flights from London to Mumbai starting from May 17.
Air India Will Run Flights From London To Mumbai Starting May 17
Air India tweeted that flights will be operational from London’s Heathrow to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport from May 17 to May 31. However, the flights will not be operating on the dates May 18, 23, and 30. The tweet also stated that passengers who have already booked these non-operational dates must revalidate their bookings.
Passengers traveling to India must adhere to the recent COVID-19 guidelines. Also, Air India has made it clear that it is the responsibility of the passenger to find out if they can enter the country according to the UK’s latest rules.

Air India Is Running Flights Between Bengaluru & London Heathrow
Previously, Air India had cancelled all flights to London after the UK government included India in the red list of countries. However, Air India has now announced that it will also be operating its Bengaluru-London Heathrow-Bengaluru route. The airline will operate from Bengaluru to London Heathrow on May 17, 19, 24, 26, and 31. The same will operate from London Heathrow to Bengaluru on May 16, 18, 23, 25, and 30.
