State Bank of India has launched a new toll-free number to help customers easily carry out banking transactions from their homes without having to visit the bank.
Note that an SBI customer’s mobile number should be registered with the bank to avail these services.
According to the latest tweet from SBI, “Say goodbye to all your banking worries! Call SBI Contact Centre toll-free at 1800 1234 OR 1800 2100.”

The banking services that can be availed by calling the toll-free number are:
- Account balance/last 5 transactions
- ATM Card blocking & dispatch status,
- dispatch status of cheque book,
- TDS details & deposit interest certificate by e-mail
- Request for a new ATM Card after blocking the previous one

If your mobile number is not registered or wish to register your new number, you can do so by following simple steps.
Registration for SBI Phone Banking using an ATM
Step 1: Swipe your SBI ATM card and choose “registration” from the menu options.
Step 2: On the next screen, enter “SBI ATM PIN” and choose “Phone banking registration.”
Step 3: Enter the registered phone number on the screen and click “Correct.”
Step 4: A six-digit password will be issued to the registered mobile number after completing the registration.
How to register a number online?
Once you have logged in to “OnlineSBI,” choose “eServices” and then “State Bank Freedom” from the list on the left. Ensure the MPIN is updated before this action and that you get a notification indicating that handset validation is finished.
Choose “Registration” from the menu options up top. The user of onlineSBI will see a list of accounts that have been enabled. To enable mobile banking service, select the account (only SB/CA) and then submit, as per SBI website.
