The new airport will have two parallel runways and will be able to handle 90 million passengers per year when it is fully complete and operational. This number is double than that of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai that currently handles approximately 40-50 million passengers annually through single-runway operations.
